Om Prakash Behera says that his disciplined approach, focused self-study, and strategic preparation helped him crack the toughest exam in India in one go. What he just did was he used to stay away from his phone. He did not have a cell phone to use. And now, he is a sensational personality in India who is not getting other’s eyes from him and the social media itself.
Undoubtedly, smartphones are necessary for small things like talking to friends and discussing upcoming classes, projects, and group studies. But, Om Prakash would use it to keep him away from all this distraction after the completion of his school studies.

Om Prakash hails from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and has been one of the regular students studying at Allen Institute in Kota for the last three years. He says that his academic journey is well-supported by his family, particularly his mother, Smita Rani Behera.
His mother is a lecturer by profession in one of the colleges of Odisha, who was told to put a hold on her career of teaching because of letting the child begin his career!
Om Prakash was about to attend the coaching classes and went from Bhubaneswar to Kota, away from his family. It was his mother who supported him and left her career for a while. For the last three years, Om Prakash has been studying in Kota, ensuring the best environment for his studies.
Om Prakash’s father’s name is Kamalkant Behera is working as an officer in Odisha Administrative Services.

According to him, Om Prakash says that novels are the best stress relievers. He would have his own rigorous study schedule. He says that scoring 300/300 in IIT JEE Main is just one big step towards the bigger journey. He is now having his eyes focused on IIT JEE Advanced–the gateway to IITs. He wants to pursue B.Tech in computer science from IIT Mumbai. Om Prakash Behera's success mantra is– that "what has already happened" is the past. Instead of focusing on it, one should focus on what is happening.
